Panasonic appoints Definitech for underwater models
Definitech is now the exclusive National Authorised Service Centre for Panasonic Lumix Underwater Cameras models DMC-FT2, DMC-FT1, DMC-FT10, SDR-SW20 and SDR-SW21. Definitech is proud to be associated with Panasonic as they reflect our goals of providing professional, quality service.

Panasonic calls the FT2 "Rugged Waterproof, Shockproof, Dustproof and Freezeproof Design".

For the active or the accident-prone photographer, the DMC-FT2 features all-weather, rugged design. The DMC-FT2 has improved water-resistance to a depth of 10m, and is dustproof equivalent to the ‘IPX8’ and ‘IP6X’ standard. The LCD panel is also thickened by 1.3x (compared with the DMC-FT1) for protection against pressure, allowing the display to operate with clear visibility, even underwater.

Mitsubishi Electric appoints Definitech
After a very thorough screening process, Definitech has been awarded Authorised Mitsubishi Electric Service Centre status.
Products include the full range of LCD and DLP projectors, Digital video Recorder/switchers, Flat screen LCD monitors, Plasma monitors, computer monitors and car vision products. The quality of service, experience in the industry and the well designed workshop were the primary reasons for the appointment. Mitsubishi were seeking new partners in the service arena and “Definitech ticked all the right boxes” said one source.

Sony PMW-EX3 Camera Service finalised
Following on from success servicing the Sony PMW-EX1 nationally, Definitech has been appointed as the exclusive NSW Authorised Sony Service Centre for the PMW-EX3 XDCam Camera.
The work performed by Definitech on the ground breaking PMW-EX1 during the first 9 months of the product release was of such quality that Sony were satisfied that the platform was stable enough for release to the wider service network. Thanks to the work by Definitech, Sony is confident that the new technology in XDCam EX series could be maintained by an exclusive group of five Service Centre’s nationally.

Definitech remains the exclusive National Service Centre for replacement of Lenses and other alignment critical components in the PMW-EX1.

Definitech named as National Service Centre
Sony has appointed Definitech as the exclusive National Authorised Service Centre for Sony’s new PMW-EX1 XDCAM EX HANDY CAMCORDER.
Our proven record in the service of Sony Professional cameras has resulted in Definitech being awarded the national service of this exciting new product. Sony has supplied service jigs, workshop manuals and technical data, which are essential in the servicing of modern cameras. Product training was performed by a Sony Product Specialist at our workshop and ensuring repairs can be carried out in an efficient manner.    

The PMW-EX1 utilises Sony's three newly designed 1/2-inch type "Exmor"™ CMOS sensors, each with an effective pixel count of 1920 x 1080. Coupled with newly developed signal processing LSI, the PMW-EX1 produces exceptional images in 1080p, 720p and 1080i HD.
Using SxS Memory Card flash memory technology, very high data transfer speeds are also made possible in order to enhance the High Definition content creation workflow.
